Seychelles Aid Project Moves Forward with Support of EF Corporate Solution Group
On February 28, 2012 a press conference in relation to the 2012 Seychelles Aid Project was held at the Guangzhou Youth Palace, marking the official launch of recruitment of young Chinese volunteers. With the support of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China, the Ministry of Commerce and the Guangzhou Young Volunteers Association, the Seychelles Aid Project is recruiting 18 young volunteers from various fields of study to work in the Seychelles for one year in the fields of healthcare, education and other areas to benefit the local society. They will depart for the Seychelles this coming April.
Wei Guohua (Secretary of the Communist Youth League of China, Guangzhou Municipal Committee), Chi Zhixiong (Deputy Secretary of the Communist Youth League of China, Guangdong Municipal Committee), An Jianguo (Deputy Secretary of the Communist Youth league of China, Guangzhou Municipal Committee), Lin Daoxuan (team leader of the First Seychelles Aid Team) and Zhao Yunfang (team leader of the Fourth Seychelles Aid Team) were invited to the press conference to witness the commencement of recruitment. Bonnie Zhong, the Regional Manager of Southern China for the EF Corporate Solution Group, was specially invited as project partner to participate in this momentous occasion leading to the next stage of training implementation.
The 2012 Seychelles Aid Project is supported by professionals coming from all areas of society. As the ability to communicate in English is crucial to the success of the project, EF has been chosen as the exclusive language training provider to tailor-make intensive training programs, including small group and individual instruction, for the volunteers before their departure. During the volunteers’ service in the Seychelles EF will continue to arrange courses for the volunteers, assigning a native-speaking English teacher to assist them in developing any areas in which they need to improve.
“It is our honor to be invited to support the Seychelles Aid Project which benefits the nation in terms of international relations, enhances Sino-African communication and cooperation, spreads the name of Guangzhou City in the global market and develops new opportunities for participating in multinational projects,” stated Bonnie Zhong of the EF Corporate Solution Group. “We will offer solutions built around key aspects including clear learning targets, achievable progress, and service excellence and guaranteed results to ensure the success of this project.”
